Video Pipe Inspection: Discover Plumbing Issues Before They Grow
admin • November 7, 2016

The average Olympia home’s plumbing system is pretty complex and usually hidden from view. This is beneficial for many reasons; however, it can also cause a couple of issues, particularly when it comes to diagnosing problems within the plumbing system.

For years, the only way to find a specific plumbing system issue was to tear up your pipes until they could be physically examined. This was hardly a cost effective of energy efficient method. This is why we now use video pipe inspection. This technology allows us to ensure that your plumbing, drain, and sewer system are still in decent working condition.

How Does Video Inspection Work?

Video pipe inspection involves inserting a long cord, with a camera mounted to the end of it, down into your plumbing system. This camera travels through the entire system on a pair of motorized wheels and records images, sending them back to the plumber operating the camera. Once the camera has inspected the section of plumbing that it’s meant to, it’s withdrawn without any additional procedure or damage.

What Are the Benefits of Video Pipe Inspection?

The purpose of video pipe inspection is to find plumbing problems that need to be resolved with as little obstruction as possible. Rather than tearing up your entire plumbing system to find the root of a problem, our professional plumbers can pinpoint each of the ears that require professional attention before going in to fix them.

This saves you a great deal of money and saves time overall. This is also much more convenient for you as you won’t have to worry about your water being disrupted for any longer than it has to be. It’s a good idea to schedule this service a couple times a year to be preemptive about plumbing problems.
